Chelsea advises businesses on a wide variety of corporate matters including tax strategy, securities, business formation and structuring, and contract drafting and negotiation. She also assists companies with private equity fund formation and domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, including asset and stock transactions. Additionally, Chelsea has experience preparing and reviewing IT agreements, including Software as a Service Agreements and other software license agreements.
Chelsea received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as a Notes Editor for the First Amendment Law Review and as a member of the International Law Moot Court Team. As a law student, she worked in the Small Business/Self-Employed Division of the Office of Chief Counsel of the IRS and volunteered in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Chelsea received her B.A. in Mathematics and Spanish from Wake Forest University.
Chelsea stays involved in the community and enjoys participating in programs that focus on education and literacy. She currently volunteers as an advisor for her undergrad sorority, mentoring women in the area of scholarship. In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys fly-fishing, cooking, cheering for the Tar Heels, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
